Autoimmunity
Biomimetic Human TB Granuloma
BHTG1
PROJECT TYPECoPilot
START DATE2025
This project aims to characterize the transcriptional and spatial signals and pathways involved in the formation and maintenance of granulomas, as well as to identify the mechanisms that determine whether granulomas succeed or fail in controlling progressive mycobacterial growth. As a future direction, the system may also be adapted to study granuloma biology in other poorly understood human diseases, such as Coccidioidomycosis and sarcoidosis.
